Lisa Curtis is a senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation. She specializes in America’s economic, security and political relationships with India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and other South Asian countries. Curtis has testified before Congress on more than a dozen occasions on topics relating to India, Pakistan, radical Islamists, and America’s image abroad. Prior to her work at the Heritage Foundation, Curtis was a member of the professional staff of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, in charge of South Asian affairs for then chairman Sen. Richard Luger (R-Ind). Curtis also served abroad in the U.S. Foreign Service, where she was assigned to the U.S. embassies in Pakistan and India. She received her BA in Economics from the Indiana University.
