Animesh Roul is the executive director of the New Delhi-based Society for the Study of Peace and Conflict. His areas of interest are terrorism, arms control and proliferation, armed conflict, and security developments in the South Asian region. Associated with a number of media and policy organizations in India and abroad, he has written articles in the Jamestown Foundation Terrorism Monitor, ISN Security Watch, CBWMagazine, Open Democracy, the CTC Sentinel and NBR Analysis. Roul is the recipient of MacArthur Foundation’s Asia Security Initiative Blogger award for 2009 and 2010, and he also blogs frequently at the Counterterrorism Foundation’s blog on South Asian terrorism issues.
